As long as I can remember I have been planning my child's nursery. I had so many ideas from pirates to nursery rhymes, sugar skulls to teddy bears picnic, but once I found out I was having a baby girl the first thing I did was paint the walls blue...for a woodland scene of course!
Now you may think this theme has been done to death but I loved the thought of all our friends and family buying my daughter cute woodland teddies and letting her know they were from all the people who loved her. Also I'm not the kind of person who does trendy woodland, you know the kind with grey walls, stags heads and fancy artwork - don't get me wrong this looks lovely but it's not what I planned to create. I wanted a room my child could immerse herself in and play make believe, so hopefully I've managed that for her!
Now here's the catch - I'd taken a month off before my daughter was due to arrive because I thought even if she comes early that gives me a couple of weeks to finish her room and write some tutorials for you all but she put a spanner in the works. Little Miss Trouble arrived 5 weeks early and all you mums out there will know that free time is a luxury which is few and far between so over the coming months I'm going to share tutorials on how I created each part of this room!
